Merlinsoft have been at the forefront of business management solutions for over four decades. Our journey began in 1983 when our founder had a vision to revolutionise retail management systems for the smaller independent retailers who were desperately trying to keep up with the major brands who were investing heavily in new technology. By utilising the recently introduced IBM PC platform we launched our first retail management and EPOS system in 1984.
Since that date ‘innovation’ has been our watchword and we have continued to develop innovative solutions for a wide range of business requirements as diverse as the first touchscreen for retail to a special fruit picking voucher system during the Covid epidemic. Merlinsoft have been at the forefront of business management solutions for over four decades.
We moved into visitor attractions in 1995 when we developed one of the first fully integrated admissions and ticketing systems. Our innovation continued and in 2002 we were the first to introduce the collection of gift aid on admissions. Other innovations continue and we still win awards on a regular basis. Our current product, Merlin 8, now offers unparalleled functionality for managing venues of any type and size. Designed and built in-house by some of the most talented minds in the industry and leveraging cutting-edge development tools, our solutions now offer everything needed for the modern visitor attraction, venue or event.
